Not-Make-Up-Monday-Even-Though-It's-Monday Monday...

Hey!

Now as you may know, I've done a couple of Make-Up Monday's now and I usually post roughly 3 items of make-up that I really like or always use. However, I don't have a big make-up collection...so I've kind of run out of all of my favourite make-up....and I don't want to blog about a bunch of crap every Monday - so I've replaced this Make-Up Monday with.......

Drum roll please.....

A tutorial!!!!

It's exciting for me because I don't usually do tutorials - I've only done that smoothie one. But don't worry - it is a beauty product tutorial so it kind of ties in with the whole Make-Up Monday thing...

So on with the tutorial!!!

Lip Scrub

Ok so if you are familiar with Lush products, you would know that they sell lip scrubs which soften your lips and make them feel nice. However - they're something like £5 per pot and the pots are really small. So I've found a cheaper way to do them - and cheap is good.

Olive Oil || Hazelnut Flavoured Granulated Sugar || Tea Spoon || Container || Jar
You will need :
A teaspoon (it doesn't have to be one of those ones with the measurements or anything fancy)
Olive Oil
A little jar (for mixing)
Granulated Sugar (I prefer to use a flavoured one. At the moment I'm using a Hazelnut flavoured one from T.K Maxx and it was £3 or something)
A container (for storing the scrub in after)

^^ After about a minuet it should look a bit like this ^^
  1. First, wash out your container - I used a Vaseline tin and you don't want Vaseline in the scrub - it probably won't do any harm - however you don't want anything bad to happen, and it could effect the mix.
  2. Take two teaspoons of olive oil into your jar.
  3. Add two teaspoons of sugar to the mix.
  4. Mix.
  5. If the mix is very oily then add a teaspoon, mix and repeat. (You don't want too much mix otherwise it might not fit in your container).
  6. Once your mix is of the consistency in the picture below you could add two drops of food colouring if you'd like - I've never done it so I don't know if it would stain your lips or not...
  7. Now add the mix to your jar - if there's not enough mix to fill it you could either make a little bit more or just remember for next time to add an extra teaspoon of olive oil and an extra teaspoon of sugar.
  8. Now fill up your jar.
  9. You can use your lip scrub and once you've put it on your lips - you can lick it off because it's sugar!!! ||yum||
This is the finished product!

My Lush product is the Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly.

Lush || Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly || £6.95 || 100g
I love it purely because it smells great. It's made of cherries, coconut, jelly and sparkles and it's purple! It's literally a jelly in a pot that you use on your body. It is basically a soap thing and you can use it in the shower or freeze it and use it to cool yourself down in the summer - which I think is SO cool. The top tip says that the seaweed gel is great for hair and scalp so use it all over so I don't know if it has seaweed in it or if it's just a general knowledge-type-thing. But I really like it. It is available in loads of other colours and it is £6.95 - but it lasts ages so it's worth it!

And that concludes my Not-Make-Up-Monday-Even-Though-It's-Monday Monday Blog.
Lush Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly £6.95 || Homemade Lip Scrub

That's it
