The Reason Behind This Blog's Existence . . .

Hey!
This blog post was going to be about my day today, but I came across a question in the comments that I felt like I had to answer in the best way possible . . . a blog post!!!

Hey Kalliyah,

Your blog is pretty great and I was just wondering,
1) When did you start it?
2) How long did it take you to gain a large following?
I've recently started a blog of my own, and I thought you could help by answering these question.

Thanks,
Harsharan x

I've never been asked the first question, so I've never really thought about it properly. I've been blogging for a while now. You guys might not know this, but I started blogging on Tumblr, and I posted every week and I was getting no where. So I thought I'd search the internet for a good blogging website and I came across Blogger. All of the great bloggers (Zoella, Tanya Burr, Hannah Maggs etc) use this site, so I thought it must be good. I'm so glad that I moved off of Tumblr and onto Blogger because I wouldn't have all of you guys reading my blog every time that I post (which is still not completely regular. I'm SO sorry! I'll get a new schedule or something...)
But the actual question was When Did I Start? So I'll tell you. My very first blog post (that I copied off of my Tumblr blog) was published on Blogger on February 4th 2015. And on Tumblr, my very first blog post (literally the very first post of my entire blogging existence) was published on January 7th 2015.
And to answer the second question, I have 4 followers, and getting my first follower on here felt like the biggest achievement in the world to me, so 4 followers is amazing in my eyes. I know it doesn't look like a lot because 4 seems like such a small number, but to me it's huge because I worked hard for it (84 blog posts is hard work) and It just feels good to have 4 of you guys sticking close to me throughout this thing that I call a blog. And if you haven't already, follow me on blogger (great self advertising Kalli) if you don't know how to, it's on a page called How To...
I love you guys and I'd just like to say a huge thanks to everyone who reads this blog. It's nice to know that you enjoy reading about my life and other stuff. Also, I'm currently editing my Paris vlog and it will be up very soon.
Love you guys!!!
That's it

Blog on a Blog, Polabora and Summer Holidays...

Hey!

So a couple of days ago I got a Twitter notification on Twitter (obviously) saying that someone had mentioned me in a tweet. Now this person had retweeted my Twitter post where I told you guys that my Disneyland blog post was up, and they had also favourited it. So I was thinking why have these people mentioned me? but it turns out they had their own blog and they'd featured my blog post and a couple of other people's blog post's in it too which was pretty freaking amazing.
Here's the link to the blog >> http://paper.li/20daysforDLP/1325279069?edition_id=9dfb6eb0-2b35-11e5-8ff4-0cc47a0d1609

Also, I recently ordered some Polaroid pictures from the site Polabora. I got 16 for £8.99, but you can get different orders and I really recommend getting them. And there is free delivery to all countries or something like that. Another thing is, they come SO quickly. I ordered mine and they came literally in two days. Polabora is a company in Belgium so depending on how far away you are from them delivery time could vary but if you're in Europe I think delivery should be as quick as it was for me.

That sounded like such an ad, but I promise you it wasn't, I'm not sponsored by Polabora. But I'd seriously recommend getting your pictures printed with them. I love Polaroids, but I don't have a Polaroid camera so I can't just take Polaroids whenever so I'd rather just take a bunch of my favourite photos from my phone and print them off with Polabora.

Lastly,

IT'S THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS!!!

I'm off for 6 weeks and I'm so happy. I love the summer holiday's even if I'm not going to another country (which I'm not - I usually go to a hot country during other holidays).

But I love the holidays because I have more time to do other things, such as filming, editing and posting YouTube videos for my channel and for my Chummie's channel and for our shared channel (that means we will hopefully have a couple of videos on all three channels during this 6 week time period - thing....

Oh yeah! It means more blog posts as well.

Disneyland, Paris and Winnie The Pooh

Hey!

Ok so daily blogging obviously isn't my thing, so instead of telling you what happened everyday and making short, and quite crappy blog posts, I've decided to mesh my trip into a kind of "Super Blog Post" thing. I hope you like it!

*****

So you know what my first day was like, but the second day was our first day in the Disney park and it was AMAZING!!! I met Winnie The Pooh at Disney! He is my favourite Disney character and I got to meet him. Me and my chummie lined up for 20 minuets but it was worth it because I got to meet my favourite bear in the world (it's Winnie The Pooh if you hadn't guessed).

Me + Winnie The Pooh || He was so warm!

I spent a LOT of money on the first day (almost all of it - almost) but it was pretty hard not to spend any money, especially when I knew the kind of things that I wanted to get for my sister (it was her birthday on the 8th)

I also got some things for myself, my favourite buy was my Pluto toy. Not going to lie, he is the softest toy I've ever felt. I bought him on the first day at Disney so I had him to cuddle at night and sleep on when I was on the coach on the way home which was really comforting.

Me + Pluto || Softest toy in the world.
We went to Paris the next day and it was amazing, Central Paris is so beautiful and amazing. I took some pictures I thought you might like, but if you want to see all of my pictures follow me on Instagram : xkallisstuffx

The Eiffel Tower is so beautiful...
The Notre Dame is one of the most stunning buildings I've ever come across...
And of course, the iconic Disney Castle...
But like I said this isn't every picture from the trip, there are way more on my Instagram account so go follow me and check out some more Paris pics.

Also, I did do a bit of vlogging whilst I was in Paris, but I got ill during the time I was there and I felt like crap (and most probably looked it too) so I missed a couple of days, so what I'm going to do is make a long vlog using all of the footage that I had.

I love Paris but I'm so glad to be out of that hotel room and back home in England in my own bed. I will be back to whatever my usual blogging schedule is in the next week because I will have time because I'll have broken up from school by then.

I'd also just like to say thank you to all of you. All of you take your time and read my blog and watch my Youtube videos, and to all of my viewers and subscribers (that's you guys) for reading and watching little segments of my life, it's pretty cool. You're like my internet family and I just want to say thanks for being there with me through my life and stuff.

Virtual hugs all round!

That's it

Long Trip, Chewy Pizza + Dodgy Hotel Rooms...

Hey!

Yep, daily blogging is harder than I had thought it would be, but I've been so busy. I've been getting everything that I needed for this trip to Paris, and it was my little sisters birthday yesterday so I didn't really have time to blog yesterday either. Sorry.

But anyway, I'm blogging from my hotel room in Paris. It took so long to get here and we were on the coach for the majority of the time. We left the school at 10:30am and got to our hotel room at 10:30pm...so yeah, long trip or what?

We had a pizza at the restaurant next to our hotel but the pizza there was chewy, like it had been heated up. Also, me and my chummie had to sit on a table with two girls that we didn't connect with on any level, but on the plus side, there was pretty good looking waiter....

Our hotel is a budget hotel (I'm not even kidding, it's called the ibis BUDGET hotel). The bathroom door is completely bust, so it doesn't actually shut. The TV doesn't turn up loud enough, the bed isn't too hygienic, the ceiling looks like it's going to fall apart, there are insects lodging in between the windows and room is highly claustrophobic. It is quite depressing really.

We are discovering more and more weird, and in-explainable marks on the bed and walls.

Please wish me and my chummie luck in this hotel room. We need it.

That's it

Monthly Favourites

Hey!

I know. I have been terrible as a blogger, however, to make up for it, I will be daily blogging (and vlogging) the entire time that I am in Paris (Thursday to Monday) and I will also be daily blogging from today up until Thursday. So yeah, daily blogs from now till' next week Tuesday, and daily vlogging from Thursday till' Tuesday, I haven't filmed a YouTube video for a while but I will definitely try harder to film at least one video a week!

Anyway, on with this month's favourites!!!

*****
Beauty

Tommy Girl Fragrance || Tommy Hilfiger

The first item is my Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Girl perfume. I got it at Christmas and I've used it ever since. I love it SO much, it has quite a light scent to it, so it's more of a day to day perfume, rather than an evening spray.

On the Tommy Hilfiger Uk Online Store it is the 50ml Fragrance and it it £30.00 so I'd definitely ask for it as a present - unless you're rich, then you can just go out and buy it... obviously.

Tommy Hilfiger || Tommy Girl || 50ml Fragrance || £30.00
*****
Tinted Moisturizer || Bobbi Brown

This tinted moisturizer is not unfamiliar to this blog. I've mentioned it SO much, but I use it every day, and that's why it has made this month's favourites. Also, if you do live in England, you would know that we have just gone through a heat wave

Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 || Medium to Dark Tint
 || £29.00 || 50ml

*****
Sellotape

No, I'm not crazy (not completely crazy anyway). I know well enough that sellotape / sticky tape / tape is not found in the beauty aisle of any shop, but sellotape has been part of my make-up regime for a while now, and I don't want it to ever not be part of my make-up regime.

I basically use it as a guide to get the perfect winged eye liner and it does work really well. I might do a tutorial on this blog someday....

But yeah, this is regular tape and you can get it pretty much anywhere. So go get some tape / sellotape / sticky tape (I don't know what you call it).

*****
Food /  Drink

Green Tea

I am not the biggest fan of Green Tea all of the time, especially when it isn't iced. But this month I have used it a lot as a refreshing drink to cool myself down.

You can get your hands on it from any super store or corner shop for a pretty good price so I think you should go get some (just make sure you get honey with it too, honey is good with green tea, very good)

*****
Other Stuff

Note Pad || PaperChase

I absolutely LOVE PaperChase. It is my go-to stationary shop just because I love it so much in there. Anyway, at Christmas time I was given this pad by my Nan, and it is one of my favourite pads. It was handmade in India and I think that it is so beautiful.

I actually can't find it on the PaperChase website but if you do want to get your hands on it, have a little look around. It's got a material cover and it was hand made in India (I'm pretty sure it was anyway)

*****

And that is the end of this months Monthly Favourites. I hope you liked it and I will try to get better at this whole blogging thing, a lot has been going on in my life right now, but I'm trying to get better at the blogging. I will make more of an effort, I promise. Also, my video about Carter Reynolds got over 200 views on YouTube which is freaking scary! 200 and something people have seen my face and watched me talked about Carter Reynolds. It's crazy. And kind of scary. But it's crazy and scary in a good way. So yeah.

I love you guys so much!!!
